 That's a good write-up, thanks @Offereins.

 You are correct about the more complex query for individual field data
 belonging to a specific user, but I'm sure we'll have everything cached to
 minimise the input. I hope the extra complexity is all internal to
 BuddyPress (and, of course, anyone with custom SQL queries, but they're on
 their own if they've chosen to do that).
