 Would overriding the templates allow me to change the page format to
 include additional sidebars? I'm not aware that this is possible (forgive
 my ignorance) I'm not a coder, I just want to have a difference page
 format for profile pages.

 I've used the template override to create a different profile landing page
 content, I just now want to have more sidebars on this page to any other
 page, this seemed an easy way of being able to set that.

 To my mind the users profile page is a very important page, I would like
 it to have a different look to the theme default.
