 @hnla yes, I'm actually using a custom registration process so have no
 need for the registration and activation pages. I can ignore the alert but
 was thinking from an "improve BuddyPress point of view".

 My thoughts are admin alerts should be less aggressive for the user. For
 example, maybe add a "Close" button on the alert.
