 I have done some testing using the logic and scripts you provided above. I
 haven't got it to completely work yet but It seems that I am getting
 there. I am still having some issues with main query. I will continue
 working on it tomorrow morning and hopefully will find a solution.

 What I was thinking at first would be better is a to have a filter in the
 populate(), as you suggested above. But I am not yet sure.

 I will dedicate the coming weekend to work on this and hopefully will have
 a solution.

 I will post back soon.
