 I cannot see how changing the `bp_activity_update_meta` function in that
 way didn't break *every* other piece of activity meta that BuddyPress
 tries to set, but what's done is done.

 @r-a-y Did you actually test this with Akismet, with both spam and no-spam
 responses?
