#7128: Wrong include URLs while using domain mapping

I am not sure if this is a bug:
In a fresh and clean installation of WordPress 4.5.2 with WordPress MU
Domain Mapping 0.5.5.1 and BuddyPress 2.5.3 two TLDs are mapped on
subdomains of the main website like
-blog.domain1.tld (main site)
-www.domain1.tld pointing to sub1.blog.domain1.tld (sub website 1)
-www.domain2.tld pointing to sub2.blog.domain1.tld (sub website 2)
WordPress itself seems to work fine with the mapped TLDs. But any
BuddyPress related file (css, js) is included via the subdomains sub1...
and sub2... I would expect the mapped domains here as well.
This causes certificate errors, because there are none (wildcards) for the
subdomains but for the TLDs with www prefix.
I would be glad about a review. Thanks a lot.
