 I am still very against auto-login. I think that's insecure, and no way
 are we going to change this in BuddyPress just to prove me wrong (or
 right).

 The flaw in your thinking is if we being profile picture upload sometime
 after the user has activated their account or logged in for the first
 time... you've already had to upload the photo during registration. It's a
 bit irrelevant whether the image is assigned to a user or not, it's still
 uploaded. BuddyPress isn't imgur :)

 Going to keep ticket open because we need to digest all the tickets and
 see what precisely is left to implement or discuss further here.
