Comment:

 dcavins and I have had a number of discussions about this. Given that
 invitations are going to be refactored and differently stored in 2.4, it's
 not going to make sense for `bp_get_user_groups()` to fetch invitations
 and pending memberships - it will be kind of a backward compatibility
 nightmare. So let's hold off on this until the other refactoring is done.
