 Ok i'm going to work on this for next release.

 FYI, i've edited the codex page once again. I understand this feature is
 very important for you and your clients, but i also think we shouldn't
 discourage users from using the "Post types activities" if they don't need
 it. I think the note i've added at the end of the page is enough and more
 global. Finally I've kept the link to this ticket you added into the codex
 page.

 I hope you'll understand my point of view as i understand your eagerness
 to have this feature in.
