 No, I think you understand. But what I'm suggesting is that we make the
 necessary changes to `groups_uninvite_user()` and other functions that are
 necessary to support the workflow that we're going for here. I understand
 and agree with you that some of what we want to do is currently not
 possible given the way we store and retrieve multiple invitations; my
 proposal is that we work on making the underlying system more flexible.

 In other words: your description of the problems makes sense, but instead
 of ending by saying "I guess we can't do this", I want to suggest that we
 say "is it feasible to make the necessary changes in BP". Does that make
 sense? :)

 (A side note: I don't think this feature is extremely important, so if
 it's going to require huge amounts of work, it might not be worth pursuing
 right now, and we could go with a more conservative solution like what
 initiall suggested in the short term. However, the UX around group
 invitations is IMO quite terrible, so anything we can do to smooth it out
 would be most welcome.)
