 Hi

 It's a css trouble due to
 {{{margin: -39px 0 0 0;}}} in {{{#buddypress div.dir-search}}} at line 490
 of {{{buddy press.css}}}

 If i remove (using chrome inspector) this rule, then the search members
 box appears.

 I advise you to read this codex page :

 It should help you to adjust the layout for your theme.

 I'm not sure it's something we should edit in legacy's stylesheet as it
 seems very specific to your theme.
