 BuddyPress.org's install is interesting, so using that for examples is
 best avoided in the future. :)

 I assume you've been testing beta 1; this sounds like an issue that r-a-y
 found just the other day. See #5873.
 A fix for that is almost done, and we'll be releasing a RC build early
 next week, so if you can test this with the RC then, that would be very
 much appreciated.

 I'm going to close this ticket in favour of #5873, only because that
 ticket has a patch. You found the bug first. ;)
