 I love both these plugins.

 As much as some of our communities depend on these plugins layered on top
 of BuddyPress, I can't see Group Hierarchy making it into core for as long
 as it has less than 50% of the number of BuddyPress installs.

 I'd rather find ways to further optimise BuddyPress itself (and bbPress
 for that matter). Right now P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) reports 24%
 (0.3533 secs) and 12% (0.1749 secs) of my load times are dedicated to
 these 2 plugins respectively - the 2 heaviest plugins I have (shortly
 followed by Adminimize at 11%).
