 Hi imath,

 I understand the proposed solution, but unfortunately it doesn't satisfy
 the reported problem.  The goal is to do exactly the opposite.  I'd like
 to create blogname/username pairs, where every user gets one single "blog"
 with their username.

 We should provide this functionality with subdomains as it is a common
 structure used for niche communities.  If you think about GitHub for
 example, the username is also the home slug for that user. (e.g.
 https://github.com/stevenkword/ ).  This sort of structure would be
 beneficial for site that don't use the "blog" as it's primary
 feature/component.

 I'd like to make an argument for keeping and supporting username/blogname
 pairs.  Can we continue to think on this a little bit and see if we can
 find a way to accomplish this? I think it is important.
