 Well, technically, it could be done by filtering
 `bp_xprofile_get_hidden_fields_for_user`, and reproducing some of the
 logic in `bp_xprofile_get_hidden_field_types_for_user()` in your own
 plugin. But this is pretty cumbersome, of course, and I don't see any harm
 in adding the filter.
