 Hi sooskriszta

The screenshots look great. My thoughts on your proposal are:

 1. Introducing something like this would need to be done very
thoughtfully, keeping in mind the extra steps must not be seen as a
'barrier to entry', rather something that can be done in an engaging way
 'after entry'.

 2. The alternative nag approach (used by Google+) looks good, feels good
and isn't very obtrusive. What advantage does the sign-up step approach
have over the nag approach? My personal view is people love familiarity.
People aren't exactly flocking in their droves to use Google+ where as 10%
of the world use Facebook. People will be used to the sign up steps.
Twitter has them too. That said, familiarity alone doesn't prove it's a
 better approach to take.

 3. The 'skip step' link is very important. If users feel it's too much
effort to complete the step you don't want them closing the browser
window, never to see them again.

Overall I think the idea is a good way to 'enrich' a BuddyPress site. Too
often you see a BP site with 100s of users with no profile info, mystery-
man avatar. That sort of site isn't appealing to new users. Users will
feel more at home in a friendly and open community, not so much in a
 mystery-man driven anonymous community.
