 BTW, I'm also using WP-FB Autoconnect (Pro).

 In the Buddypress activity stream I can see that people are signing up. I
 can send them messages as well.  Maybe I'm just not familiar enough with
 Buddypress yet. Do I need to be friends with somebody before being able to
 invite them to a group?
