 Agreed on shortcodes.

 I'm on the fence about whether to display [Read More] links on the admin.
 The purpose of the admin panel is different from the front end. If you're
 trying to moderate content via wp-admin, it might save time and
 frustration to have the whole content displayed right away. That said,
 you're right that it would be more consistent to do the same cropping. I'm
 happy to go with whatever the group thinks is best.

 These fixes should be fairly straightforward. Putting into Future Release
 pending patches.
