Comment (by r-a-y):

 Instead of explicitly calling wp_cache_delete(), 01.patch adds a second
 parameter to bp_core_get_core_userdata() to requery the userdata and
 resets the userdata cache.

 Same idea as wpdennis basically, but offers more flexibility.
