Comment:

 Can you say more about your setup? Are you using the legacy bbPress (1.x)
 forums that come bundled with BP? Or are you using the bbPress plugin for
 WP (2.x)?

 What theme are you running?

 How are you determining that your site is looking at `buddypress/bp-
 legacy` (a path that, as you note, doesn't exist). Are you tracing through
 `bp_core_load_template()` or something like that? What do you mean by "if
 I try to force it" - what are you forcing, and how are you doing it?

 Are other parts of your site working as expected? Other tabs in profile,
 etc.
