 Not to add fuel to the fire or anything but i don't think i'd agree with
 either of those points. Granted compared to the universe of wordpress
 themes, themes designed specifically for buddypress are a much smaller
 group but there are more buddypress themes then there ever have been. i
 believe just because we have lowered the bar of entry for end users and
 site/theme developers it does not mean that those people would not have
 motivation to go further then what buddypress provides "out-of-box" in
 terms of design. In fact i would say that the demand for creative
 buddypress specific themes should increase in line with the larger
 installed base of buddypress installs.
