Comment:

 Returning to the original ticket description, I still think that creating
 a lightweight discussion forum based off of the activity streams component
 would be a cool idea for a plugin (it's actually an idea I had a long time
 ago, but didn't have time to implement).

 Closing because this is a plugin idea and also that bbPress 2 now exists
 for robust forum functionality.
