 Have you done additional experimentation to figure out which fields are
 causing the problem? We recently fixed a problem related to multiselect
 boxes that were labeled as Required; see
 https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/2173. You might also try the
 1.8 beta to see if that helps.
