Comment:

 Am I correct that this is a WordPress bug? I guess I'm OK with doing a
 band-aid fix for BP avatars, but you should submit a fix upstream as well.

 Could you please attach a proper patch file so it'll be easier to see
 what's going on, especially as we revise the patch? Thanks.
