 I just re-tested. Although the first debug notice is gone, I am still
 getting {{{Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /wp-
 content/plugins/buddypress/bp-messages/bp-messages-functions.php on line
 119}}}.

 I'm still seeing the original problem.
