Comment:

 Since it would also unintentionally make the WordPress registration page
 more customisable, Would Nacin's ticket being resolved mean that we can
 remove and/or hide (backcompat) the BP Registration page? Why and/or Why
 Not?

 If their is still a benefit to having our own registration page, then
 wouldn't having our own login page template get the same benefits?
