 I believe my example query is generated by
 bp-activity-classes -> function get_activity_comments
 which is called by
 bp-activity-classes -> function append_comments

 The example shows that a single activity_id is being passed - it shows up
 as a.item_id in the query.
 I don't see $per_page or $page and wouldn't expect re comments... ?

 We're running ~50 plugins. I'm prepared to go thru them but thought I'd
 share this thought first.
