 I've attached a patch that seems to resolve the issue.

 @SlothLoveChunk Can you try this patch on your server and test it? If
 you're unfamiliar with how to apply a patch, open up bp-blogs/bp-blogs-
 functions.php in a text editor,  and look at the 4222.01.patch. You need
 to add the block of green text below the lines in white above. A find-in-
 file search should take you to the right place.
