 Interesting. Depends, of course, on whether the items uploaded for
 favicons have a high enough resolution. (The favicons themselves won't,
 but maybe the pre-resize ones, if saved, will.) In any case, we could use
 favicons as a fallback.

 I have a client who has been clamoring for this functionality, so I'm
 likely going to take it on sooner rather than later. I may make it part of
 a reorganization of how BP handles avatar uploads.
