Comment:

 In fact just to add insult to injury I notice that others have updated /
 edited codex within last 12 hours -ish and the activity stream
 acknowledges their edits so something is up.

 As well as that I notice that my activity stream on buddypress.org is
 stagnant, despite posting replies it still shows activity from 5 months
 ago.

 Perhaps you have to 'own' the page in the codex to have edits etc show on
 the front activity stream?
