 I faced exactly the same problem. You can solve it, by increasing the PHP
 memory limit. This requires however MAMP Pro. Have a look at which PHP
 version MAMP Pro is using, and then change the PHP memory parameter in the
 PHP template for that PHP version (in MAMP Pro: go to File -> Edit
 template -> PHP -> the .ini file that refers to the version that MAMP Pro
