 @cnorris23 @DJPaul Yes. This is still an issue. Just created a new test
 installation to check this.
 Sorry for the delay.

 WP 3.1 with BP 1.2.8
 - WordPress is installed in domain root. http://example.com
 - Created a Network with Subdomain structure.
 - Created a new subsite http://buddypress.example.com
 - Defined BP in blog ID 2
 - Installed BuddyPress and activated bp-default theme
 - Via BP Admin Bar > My Blogs > Create a Blog! > page panel specifically
 shows

 Create a Blog
 /etc. etc. etc.

 Blog Domain:
 ___(space for subdomain name)____ . example . com

 - Filled up blog domain as mercime.example.com and clicked button "Create
 a Blog"
 - New blog shows up as http://mercime.buddypress.example.com/
 and not http://mercime.example.com/ as expected.
