 I applied your patch and tested the feeds with a test text with many
 apostrophes

 The site activity stream is correct
 http://bp-fr.net/activity/feed/

 The group activity feed is not correct
 http://bp-fr.net/groups/groupe-de-tests/feed/

 This needs also adjustment i presume ;-)
