Comment:

 Not sure that this is still an issue. The code looks ok to me, and we use
 it internally to create selectboxes and their options.

 If you are requesting that you be able to add options to an *existing*
 selectbox field, then I suggest you instantiate the BP_XProfile_Field
 object, and mod the $options. This is also what we do internally.
