 This came up a while back when that Paul bloke went and enqueued all the
 CSS, broke my dev theme, but I simply de-registered bp-default styles
 without any problem although the suggested way didn't work for me.

 I can see the issue with themes that worked of @imports and files called
 from child theme structure though.
