Comment:

 This is actually very tricky to do, because of the unlimited levels of
 nesting of activity comments (the padding is applied to the top-most
 <li>). Punting this to a future release unless someone conjures up a patch
 and because it's a bit of an edge case; a page refresh will clear the
 issue.
