Comment:

 This issue still exists after a upload of Buddypress 1.2.2.1 files. When
 registering a new user, the display_name field of the table wp.users is
 not updated resulting in Member List display name being left blank.

 Can you please give me a run down of options that should be enabled for
 this to work so that I can confirm that this isn't a setting on my side?
