 Jeff,

 I made some adjustments to your recommendations. I'd like to keep as many
 things off of bp_loaded as possible and continue to use bp_init and the
 rest of the bp-core.php actions wherever possible.

 Please SVN up again and test these changes at your earliest convenience.
