 I discoverd the same problem for member search and i also can confirm that
 it totaly isn't working for groups/forums/blogs - eben if you try to
 perform the search on the directory pages.

 For member search it is interesting that if u perform a search from the
 header searchbox the ”Recently Active Member Avatars” Widget is showing
 the correct search results but the directory listing not. In order to get
 the results also shown there, you have to hit the search button on the
 directory page.
