 Actually I am running on BP 1.2 and I have a similar problem. Posting
 here, because it maybe is connected: I don't have the problem you are
 describing. The group itself shows up just fine in the directory. But no
 activity out of hidden and private groups show up for me (a member of
 these groups) in any activity-stream besides the one in the group itself.
