 Hi,

 I make a test at http://testbp.org

 I created a user name : andymentions

 I do a mentions of andymentions, that will be at andymentions's and andy's
 mentions.

 May be, are mentions only using the firs 4 characters?

 Andy, when you see that mentions at your profile, you can delete the
 mention and the user andymentions. The user was only for this specific
 test.
