 I put this elsewhere and it was closed as 'not related' with no answer
 given :(

 trunk revision 2572

 I uploaded 2572 because of double posts on 2.1 to status issue. No go, it
 is still happening.

 It is ok in groups posts etc, or blog posts, but using the status area to
 post an update makes a double post

 We have no wires or activity on pages.

 I put this in here as if I ever ask on the forums I am told to add bugs to
 here.  If I add tickets here I am told that my request for an answer is
 invalid.
