 It appears that the 1.2.6 release included a bug with the date field for
 extended profile information. If you create a date field and then pick a
 date, say, January 15, it will display as January 14 in the public profile
 page.

 Someone pointed out it has something to do with a date offset function,
 bp_format_time:
