 I believe that I have a variation on this problem.

 Buddypress is installed on a site in a subdirectory. The wp-config file
 was modified to include [code]define ( 'BP_ROOT_BLOG', $blog_id );[/code]
 because of initial setup problems.

 I am using the default theme.

 I *can* create a forum topic from both the group page and the forum page.

 However, I can neither reply to nor edit the newly created topic; rather,
 on clicking reply, I am redirected to the front page of the installation
 (in this case, www.thebookertea.com/members). For "edit topic", it is at
 "save" that the redirect happens.

 This is true whether I am logged in as admin or as one of the subscriber
 accounts.

 This is a new installation with only test-subscribers accounts in place.

 I have 11 plugins installed, only 4 of which are network activated.
