Comment:

 I can confirm that.
 Also here the same, that the upload seems fine but no image appear.
 When I have a look onto the server at the shown path (right klick on the
 picture and let open it into a new browser tab), the path don't exist.

 A locate filename.jpg shown me that the right path was: /wp-
 content/blogs.dir/1/files/avatars/1/
 And the shown frontend path was /files/avatars/1/

 So it would be nice if someone can tell how to fix the bug.
