 BP 1.2.3 is not built or tested to work with WP 3.0-beta. BuddyPress 1.2.4
 will be a compatibility release with WP 3.0-beta and the plan is to
 release 1.2.4 when WP 3.0 comes out (same day, if posible).

 Since you've given us no information about the error -- i.e. what's in
 your error log -- it's impossible to help. It might be easier if you post
 the details on the forum and we can see what's going on?
