Comment:

 I am closing this for now.  There is a post on the forum with someone else
 having trouble with the feedwordpress plugin.  There may be a conflict
 with BuddyPress.

 Check you are using the latest version of feedwordpress and that you have
 followed all of the install instructions -
 http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/feedwordpress/installation/.  It also
 might be a good idea to raise this on the forum if you think this issue
 still exists because it appears some other BuddyPress users are using this
 plugin.
