 additional note:
 this issue happens BEFORE posting the message (just when writing and
 editing the text).

 I just discovered where the issue might be coming from:
 when I am at the end of my text (at the bottom of the message), then I
 move my mouse-cursor out of the field: then the text-message is hopping to
 the top of the text.
 This might be a nice feature, but is most probably causing those issues
 when trying to edit the text.
