 A few things:

 - When you click the permalink you get to the page where you just see that
 one specific thread. But then you can click permalink again which just
 links to the same page. This link is not required and should really be
 removed.

 - The term "Permalink" thats being used, is that a common expression to
 general users? Otherwise we might want to consider using a different name?

 - Im not sure about this one but on the frontpage you dont get the "View
 Thread" link even through there's multiple comments. You do get the "View
 Thread" link from inside your profile through.
