Comment:

 There is a plugin that parses for defined keyword tags or 'figures' out
 some on it's own.  Then takes these and creates links which can be used to
 search for other members on the BP install site.

 Only thing missing would be the feed from twitter, flickr APIs.

 I recommend this as a plug-in rather than core.  These APIs can change on
 a whim.
